01 ) BEYAZIT MOSQUE  ( BEYAZIT CAMİİ )

Beyazıt Mosque faces the square known by its name . Built between 1501 and 1506 by Fatih Sultan Mehmet’s son Beyazıt the second,it contists of several buildings:a mosque, a theological school,a soup kitchen,a caravanserai and a Turkish bath.This mosque which is also famous for its court with a fountain, has 3 entrances and 20 columns carrying its 25 domes.

02 ) EYÜP SULTAN MOSQUE  ( EYÜP SULTAN CAMİİ )

 This mosque with its tomb was originally made built by Fatih Sultan Mehmet in 1458 but today’s Eyüp Sultan Mosque was built in 1800 , under the assistance of Hüseyin Efendi.The mosque and the tomb was built for the host of Prophet Mohammed   in the city of Medine.

03 ) FATİH MOSQUE ( FATİH CAMİİ )

This mosque was built by the sultan Fatih Sultan Mehmet who conquered Istanbul.Though the previous mosque was built in the 15th Century , this standing one is from the 18th century.

04 ) NEW MOSQUE ( YENİ CAMİİ )

This mosque is located at Eminönü.Its constructionoriginally started in 1597 by Safiye Sultan,the mother of Mehmet the Third,detaired by their deaths.It was Turhan Sultan , the mother of Mehmet the Fourth who finished this mosque in 1663.

05 ) NURUOSMANİYE MOSQUE ( NURUOSMANİYE CAMİİ )

This mosque which is at the entrance of the Covered Bazaar ,is  from the 18th Century.

06 ) ORTAKÖY MOSQUE (ORTAKÖY CAMİİ )

 Ortaköy Mosque.from the 19.th Century has a dome and elaborate empirical decorations on its facade. It was built by the sultan Abdulmecid so it's also called Mecidiye Mosque.

07 ) BLUE MOSQUE ( SULTANAHMET CAMİİ )

Built by Sedefkar Mehmet Ağa,between 1609 and 1616 for Ahmet the First,this mosque has 16 balconies on its six minarets.It also has a big dome , enlarged by using 4 semi-cupolas at each side and eksedras at the corners , which stands altogether on friezes carried by 4 arches..Interior is reachly decorated with 17th Century tiles from İznik(Nicea) and beautiful stained glasses.

08 ) SÜLEYMANİYE MOSQUE ( SÜLEYMANİYE CAMİİ )

This mosque , built between 1550 and 1557 by the famous architect Sinan for Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent, is one of the most remarkable examples of Islamıc Art in Istanbul. It consists of a group of buildings which are successfully built,in all aspects as city planning, technical, durability ,esthetic and decorative aspect.

09 ) THE MOSQUE OF PRINCE ( ŞEHZADE CAMİİ )

The first monument to show the genius of Architect Sinan.This mosque was built the son of the Sultan Soliman the Magnificent died before his father.

10 ) THE MOSQUE OF MIHRIMAH ( MİHRİMAH CAMİİ )

This mosque , in Edirnekapı , was built under the orders of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent for his daughter Mihrimah in 1570.

11 ) THE MOSQUE OF DOLMABAHÇE ( DOLMABAHÇE CAMİİ )

Located on the Bosphorus shore this mosque was built  next to the Dolmabahçe Palace for the employees' worship.
